Conductor is a virtual reality puzzle-based adventure game developed by Overflow. Set in a strange post-apocalyptic world, players must drive a steam locomotive through the industrial landscape, using a gravity gun to clear any debris that blocks the tracks and solving puzzles between train stations.
Unique sinister setting
One of the best parts of Conductor is its setting and unsettling atmosphere. At the beginning you must escape from an institution belonging to the antagonists of the game, and you are who pursued with drones throughout. In addition to its outstanding lighting effects, the game’s simple soundtrack, including howling wolves and creaking rails, also contribute significantly to its creepy ambience. The physics of the game work exceptionally well, and the operation of the train – loading coal into the furnace and regulating the boiler temperature – is especially satisfying.
Another striking other-worldly VR adventure
Despite the fact that the puzzles are overtly simple, Conductor is a fantastic title which pushes the boundaries of our imaginations with regard to what we expect from a VR experience. While the game is short and sweet, there is plenty of scope for replay.
